Job Description:

  • Full-time, exempt staff position in the School of Theology. 
  • Assist the Dean in fundraising and development, particularly related to the Asian-American Ministry Program and the School of Theology graduate program.
  • Promote and interpret the Asian-American Ministry Program to outside constituencies. Recruit Asian-American students to the SPU theology programs.
  • Work closely with the Associate Dean for Graduate Studies and the Asian-American Faculty Advisory Team to coordinate the logistical aspects of the Asian-American curricular emphasis.
  • Organize short-term continuing education seminars on Asian-American ministry for congregational leaders, in coordination with the Center of Biblical and Theological Education.
  • Encourage formal and informal activities for fellowship among Asian-American students and between Asian-American students and students of other ethnicities, in coordination with the university’s Director of Multi-Ethnic Programs.
  • Develop creative partnerships with Asian-American ministries and Asian institutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Arts;
  • extensive knowledge of and experience with the Asian-American church;
  • proven business experience and fundraising expertise; administrative experience;
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word and Outlook.

Preferred: 

  • Master's degree in theological studies;
  • administrative experience in theological education.
